On May 16th, the same week as the occurance of the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2022, the SKKU Communications and Networks group was overwhelmed to welcome professors and researchers from Singapore, UK, Cyprus and Australia to visit and participate in the 2022 SKKU International Workshop on Future Communications - 6G Vision and Technologies.
The workshop began with an insightful talk about "Future Communications R&D Programme in Singapore" by Prof. Tony Q.S. Quek, professor at Singapore University of Technology and Design.
Prof. Bruno Clerckx from Imperial College London then took over the stage and enlightened the whole audiences with "Rate-Splitting Multiple Access for 6G".
After lunch break, Prof. Ioannis Krikidis from University of Cyrus introduced the hot topic about "Wireless Powered Communications in the Era of 6G" and last but not least, Prof. Derrick Wing Kwan Ng, University of New South Wales, gave an informative talk about "Wireless Power Transfer and Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces for B5G".
Student researchers had a productive day learning and broadening knowledge about the next era in communications and technologies.
